Running Wolf

"Love Is A Touchy Subject”

      In the video Running Wolf talks about love being a touchy subject with his fear of death – his past history of experiences with relationships brought his heart to a conclusion that if he loved someone they would inevitably die which caused him and his heart to be very cautious of love and of engaging in love relationships. 
      In the past I too have been very timid of relationships – I used to believe all people were not safe, and eventually they would betray others in some way.  My understandings of love have changed as I have seen and understood about how Jesus sees love and people, and how He engaged with others in the four gospels of the Bible - Jesus has an interesting and intriguing view and perspective of love which has brought me to a different desire to move differently when I am betrayed in relationships.  Jesus’ views have also brought to me a different understanding of how to respond to others when I fail them, which I do often, whether it is revealed in my tone of voice, impatience, not being present when I am with someone, etc.  Jesus' definition of love is very different than how I have understood what love is. 
     Do you have any thoughts about this fear of love Running Wolf talks about?  How Jesus sees love?  Are you aware of any positive or negative beliefs you hold about love which you bring to your relationship with others?  Or do you have any other responses to Running Wolf’s thoughts about love?

Kelly talks about her daughter Karen who loved others in the ways she reached out to people when she was suffering with brain cancer and dying.  (When Kelly refers to her daughter going to Jesus, she means that her daughter died and is in heaven with Jesus).  Kelly tells about how her daughter desired to bring joy to others hearts, and how she encourage people’s hearts in the practical ways she could and was able to.

I found her story to be beautiful in the ways her daughter expressed love - do you have any thoughts and responses to her story?

Love Never Fails

We will be regularly posting real life testimonies of God’s love, through people’s stories of how God and His Love have transformed their lives.  Stories which tell of victories made possible when the circumstances were impossible, of miracles, of tangible touches by the living God in seasons of blessings and in the midst of great hardships, grievous circumstances, illness, and other difficult life challenges.  The purpose of this page is for you to be encouraged through the real life stories of others and for you to have a venue to respond to these testimonies, and for you to share your cares, burdens, sorrows, challenges, trials, your beliefs, victories, and celebrations of your spiritual walk and daily life allowing others to pray for you, celebrate with you, and encourage you as you walk these things out with each other and with Jesus.
